'Unprovoked' Violence Leads Only to the Abyss of Downfall - My Views on an Incident: An Article
The following article, which I claim to be politically unaffiliated, is a brief piece on my personal views regarding a recent unprovoked violent incident.
Sometimes, certain incidents force me to question, "Have people misunderstood religion?". In our selfish desire to propagate the respective religions we belong to, have we forgotten our essential humanity? Mustn't we pause, and reflect what actually has led us to dominate the pyramid of life, and power? Upon close scrutiny, isn't it surprising to notice that we humans are mere slender bones when compared to the mighty elephants or the lions that roar in disdain? Isn't it our intelligence that has aided us in claiming superiority over the entire animal kingdom? Yes, and no! What about our penchant of wholesome compassion not only for humankind but other varied flora, and fauna?
To mercilessly wipe out followers of another religious cult, we hold guns - enthusiastically brainwashed to shoot - and are shamelessly ready to ask, "Chant your prayer to prove your adherence to 'our' sacred preordained cult,". We have truly forgotten what a simple prayer, the fundamental constituent of sacred belief, means, haven't we? Though most of us are predisposed to have a 'redemption-attitude' towards prayer, some of us do intuit it to be words of gratitude, and wishes for overall wellbeing. Don't many of us pray seeking safety of our beloved? Some of us - the 'peace - o - philic' - observe mindful silence for humanity's welfare. Then, which important political game theory appealed to our selfish instinct to cause us to tremor widespread harm? Which strategic propaganda rose above empathy to let loose the dogs of war? What gain can one benefit from after wreaking havoc, and provoking incessant wailing? I am certain that this can only slip one to the abyss of downfall.
