Autumn: A Chapter in the Book of Nature - A Nature Poem

A poem describing the mood of Autumn.

Not the Sun, but the winds do guide,

Scarved-children are seen, fearing mothers who chide!

Hands in pockets, feet in a pair of sock

Men pour mouthed-vapour, as they silently talk.

Not wizards, but cold mouthed-vapours conjure

Strange phantom-like apparitions that don't injure.

Lores they whisper, the theme of Halloween

A time we must refrain from resembling ghouls unseen.

Humility would be reminiscing the glories brought by the now-dead,

Ingratitude would be not cherishing memories in our minds fed.

Not a fire alarm, but trees drape orange apparel,

Reminding us of Change, an eternal law - nature's true parable.

A Promise is sustained, when every leaf falls,

The Promise of Renewal forms unbreakable walls.

Hope dwells in creatures, who succumb to their winter rest,

Deep slumber, they indulge in, cozy in nature's motherly nest.

Hope dwells in creatures, who succumb to their winter rest,

As they expect, once they wake, to see nature's canvas bear the colours of Spring - a visual fest!
